The Labyrinth was created in Belgium in 1997, at Barvaux-sur-Ourthe, near Durbuy.
Since then, the magic has been recreated every year and 12 themes have been staged, each with its own special atmosphere, including: The Jungle Book, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, The Smurfs, Alice in Wonderland, The Gods of Ancient Egypt, Tintin and The Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault.
Each year, between 75,000 and 100,000 visitors come to explore the intricate paths of the Belgian maze, which are more and more imaginative every time.
Since 2007, Québec has been part of the fun!
Following Merlin the Wizard in 2007, the 64,000 visitors to the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu maze in 2008 had to save the goddess from the clutches of a terrible fire-breathing dragon... Mission accomplished!
