Every year, we create a new adventure! The maze pattern is changed completely from one year to the next, according to the chosen theme, featuring new characters in an original scenario and decor each time. The heroes of The Labyrinth Arctic Gardens will tell you an extraordinary tale, entice you into their games and amaze you with their intrigue.
Alice in Wonder-maze
Everyone is familiar with the famous tale of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, first published by Lewis Carroll in 1865.
Adapted for the big screen numerous times, most recently by Tim Burton, the magical story of Alice in Wonderland, as it is more commonly known, will now be brought to life in a huge natural theatre of greenery – the perfect setting for a life-size version of this deliciously nonsensical fantasy.
Little Alice is lost in Wonderland and finds herself in a sticky situation: the intimidating Queen of Hearts is about to try her in front of a jury that seems anything but impartial. Visitors must make their way through the maze, along a path fraught with pitfalls, to try to find Alice and save her from her unhappy fate…
A land of absurdities…
But before reaching Alice, our intrepid adventurers will meet an array of colourful characters, each more absurd than the next: the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, the March Hare, the Mad Hatter, the Knave of Heartsand of course the frightful Queen of Hearts. They are played by eight professional actors, directed by Pascal Contamine.
The new maze layout will take the form of the playing cards that so inspired Lewis Carroll. Not only must visitors find their way around the intricate paths, but they must also work out how to correctly address the characters and pass the tests in order to find Alice and bring her back to her world. A fun and fast-moving adventure to be had by one and all!
